The General Menu

The drop-down menu, as shown above is the General Menu of the Application that allows users to access all the Options available through the Options Menu, change the size of the UI by changing the Zoom level, exit to either the Profiles page or Exit the application altogether as well as re-open any of the closed default tabs () in the Panels menu.

The Options Menu

The Options Menu is where all the configurations of your Client can be found. This Menu will allow you to set up the Client Layout, Hotkeys, Notification sounds, Colour Scheme and other aspects of the Client just the way you want.

The Options Menu is broken up into the following tree structure

  • Appearance:
    • Colors — this sub-menu allows the user to customize the color of almost any element displayed on the Chart Window where most of the user’s trading is taking place
    • Sounds — this sub-menu allows the user to customize the sound notifications received in various trading situations.
  • Orders:
    • TP/SL — this sub-menu allows the user to set the default values for both Take Profit and Stop Loss including the default distance (Percentage), Order type etc. You can also set your Take Profit to be displayed as an Iceberg order by default. Iceberg orders only reveal 10% of the value of your order (Spot Market only).
  • Order Specifications:
    • Order move type — these settings allow the user to enable or disable the parallel movement of buy/sell orders and buy/sell take profit orders. In conjunction with the hotkeys selected for moving orders, if Parallel is selected, the orders will move keeping the exact relative position of each order; if None is selected, the orders will not move using the Hotkeys, just by dragging manually.
    • Order Split — settings relating to splitting orders (right-clicking on the TP/SL line). Allows the user to set the number of orders into which the order will split, the distance between the newly split orders
    • Order Mover size — the size (in pixels) of the area around the order within which the user will be able to grab the order and move it
    • Order Size — allows the user to set a default tool type (buttons or slider), the default percentage (% of the available deposit) that the slider will be set to when chosen, the number of buttons displayed when the Buttons type is selected, the values of the buttons set by the user and the Asset that the values set in (the application will recalculate automatically).
    • Order Type — allow the user to choose the type of order to be used by default when placing an Order (buy or sell). The Stop Price percentage works with the Stop Limit order type only and defines the distance from the set order that will trigger placing a limit order. (for more information, please refer to Binance documentation on how Stop Limit Orders work). You can also set your Client’s Order to be displayed as an Iceberg order by default. Iceberg orders only reveal 10% of the value of your order (Spot Market only).
  • System :
    • System — this sub-menu allows the user to customize the way the MoonTrader application runs. Here the user can determine a default Target Frame rate (useful for minimizing load on hardware), UI scale (the size of the UI that will be displayed upon start-up by default) and the Anti-aliasing option that allows for a smoother view of the events occurring in charts.
    • Charts — this sub-menu allows the user to close the inactive charts after a specific period of time.
    • Client Blacklist — allows the user to add/remove a specific Market/Quote Asset/Pair to the blacklist which will remove said choice from the Search Bar/Market Info and Market Live tabs. The user will no longer be able to see the chosen item but will still be able to interact with it when using an Algorithm. The Syntax:
      •  adding a Market: Futures, Spot, Margin (the full name of the market).
      • adding a Quote Asset: {market first letter}:{asset} example s:usdc (add all spot pairs that use USDC as a quote asset to the blacklist)
      • adding a pair: {market first letter}:{pair} example: f:dogeusdt (add dogeusdt pair on futures market to the blacklist)
  • Graphs:
    • Content — this sub-menu allows the user to customize the Chart Window. Here you can chose to enable or disable specific components of the Chart Window like the Order Form; customize the way the Volumes are displayed, the size of the bars etc; customize the size of the ticks on the Chart; select the default Graph Type: tickchart, candlestick chart (Kline) or a Mixed graph (a mix of the last 1000 1minute candlesticks and the latest ticks, continuing into a regular tickchart)
    • Axis — this sub-menu allows the user to customize the way axes are displayed by either enabling or disabling them or choosing what type of information to be displayed.
  • Input — a sub-menu allowing the user to set specific Hotkeys and key combinations performing specific tasks aimed at increasing the reaction time and trading speed
  • Core Profile — this sub-menu allows the user to customize settings related to the extra functionality of the core like sending Telegram notifications related to the performance of the either the system or profitability as well as storing trades on the hard disk (to enable users to have a better picture by keeping older trades)
